Steve brings over 25 years of business leadership and marketing experience to the organization. Most recently he served as CEO of WISH Medical, a specialized faith-based nonprofit medical clinic in Moscow, Idaho. Steve spent five years in Moscow helping to start a church plant from Crossroads Community Church and just recently returned to Boise to be closer to his parents and family. Prior to 2011, he was blessed with the opportunity to spend 16 years with Micron Technology in marketing.
Steve is a native of Idaho and has been married to his college sweetheart for 25 years. They have two daughters who attended University of Idaho, and their son started at Boise State in the fall of 2016. Steve has a passion for showing the love of Christ to others. Combining his business skills with his passion, the board feels Steve will be a great fit as the Executive Director.
Josh joined the clinic staff in July 2014 after being employed with the American Cancer Society. He has worked previously with refugees and with improving community health in developing countries. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Literature and a Masters in Public Health.
Josh is happily married with two young sons and a brand new daughter. Josh enjoys being outdoors and is happiest when he has the opportunity to share the love of Jesus in his everyday life.
Cindy earned her degrees in Business Management and School Administration from Boise State University and Wheelock College, as well as a ECE with an emphasis is special needs from Montana State. Since then, she has held a variety of positions, including Program Director of Discover Technology and Principal of the Vineyard Christian School. Her core competency is developing strong teams to achieve lasting results.
Carrie joined the clinic team in October of 2015 and brings to her position 40 years of nursing experience. She adores Jesus and is grateful for the love, healing, and wholeness He has brought to her life. Carrie has been married to her husband, Rick, for 24 years and they have two grown daughters.
Kristy joins the Genesis staff as Dental Clinic Coordinator. Originally from Utah, she brings a background that includes over 15 years in the dental field. She enjoys working closely with patients and loves being a part of the much needed service provided here at Genesis. Kristy enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children.
Jodi has been with the clinic since 2013 and has graciously given her heart to helping the patients receive the best of care. She helps manage all of the departments of the clinic and aids in training new volunteers and staff members.
Johnny joined staff in November of 2016; however, he has volunteered with the Community Health program since the connector program was started in October of 2015. Before coming to Genesis Johnny worked at St. Alphonsus as a MRI tech assistant. Johnny will graduate from Boise State University with his Bachelor’s in Health Sciences in the spring of 2017. He’s passionate about people and the importance of community.
When Johnny isn’t in class or working, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, playing lacrosse and takes any opportunity he can to go camping or hiking. He is a Boise native and loves seeing how the community continues to grow and develop.
When she is not working and going to school, Devon enjoys relaxing with her family and friends. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, climbing, kayaking, rafting, stand-up-paddle boarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, futbol, and music.
Alison is Genesis’ Grant Writer and works closely with the organization’s Development Director. This is Alison’s first job in the non-profit sector and she has enjoyed learning about how the charitable world operates. Alison earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2009 and her MBA in Entrepreneurship in 2016. She is passionate about the many ways that business and economics are being used to empower the vulnerable, alleviate poverty, and change communities around the world!
Alison has been married to her husband, Elliot, for eight years. Together they enjoy mountain biking, exploring the Pacific Northwest, chasing after their Border Collie, and raising their daughter.
