The 2014 Faith Hope and Love Dinner and Auction was a smashing success, thanks to the generosity of both those who gave at the auction as well as those who gave for it. With over 250 people in attendance, the gala event helped raise more than $73,000 for the annual fund of Genesis World Mission. This allows us to continue our work bringing empowerment to remote villages like Burangi Kenya as well as to the neighbors in our own backyard in Boise Idaho.
We were challenged to think about treating with love, moving beyond just charity care, which involves a deeper relational committment to those in need. Not only did we hear stories of transformation by our patients, staff and board members, but those who attended have now become part of the story.
