Genesis Community Health recognizes that long life lived well comes not only through clinical care, but also social and economic factors, health behaviors, and the environment. Because of this, Genesis has a team of staff and volunteers that work to connect people to non-medical resources that impact health and well-being. These are things like food, housing, utility assistance, social support, tobacco cessation classes, and so much more. You can access those resources here.
Every medical and dental patient of Genesis Community Clinic and WIC client who is receiving services at the Health Center has the opportunity to meet with a Community Health Worker at every visit. Additionally, Community Health Workers meet with those in need throughout the community to ensure they have access to services that improve their health and well-being.
